Dr. Roland Zegg

Diploma Engineer ETH / BWI

Roland Zegg studied mechanical engineering and technical management science at ETH Zurich, followed by a doctorate with empirical research on the Swiss hotel industry (dissertation, ETH Zurich). In 1987, he founded grischconsulta with partners and two years later launched the TFA TourismusForum Alpenregionen.

Roland Zegg comes from a family of entrepreneurs in Graubünden and is a former ski racer and ski school director.

Senior advisor, project management and coaching in consulting mandates for companies and destinations in the Alpine countries. Author of numerous publications on tourism topics.

  Roland Zegg took over the former ‘Steinbock certification’ in 2006 and established a Switzerland-wide quality label and management system for sustainability in the hotel and accommodation industry under the ‘ibex fairstay’ brand.
